Full day tour to Luxor, one of the world’s greatest open-air museums, the 4000-year-old site of ancient Thebes and Home of the legendary Valley of the Kings and Temples of Karnak.
Itinerary
You will be picked up from your Hotel or Nile Cruise in Luxor by your Egyptologist tour guide and be transferred by private A/C vehicle to the West Bank. The twin seated statues known as the Colossi of Memnon are the first site we’ll see before we visit the legendary Valley of the Kings, where 64 ancient Egyptian rulers lie buried in the Valley of the Kings including the burial chamber of the boy king Tutankhamen. Archaeologist Howard Carter discovered his intact and treasure-filled tomb in 1922, visit the tomb of King Ramses VI. West bank touring also includes the spectacular Funerary Temple of Queen Hatshepsut, Egypt’s only Pharaonic female ruler, rising out of the desert plain in a series of terraces.
Stop for lunch at a quality local restaurant before driving to Karnak, Where the many-columned temples await your arrival. Wonder at the obelisks, huge columned Great Hypostyle Hall and the sacred lake. Proceed to Luxor Temple via the 3 kilometre Long Avenue of Sphinxes, lost for centuries beneath the streets of the town till unearthed by Mariette 1860. The striking Temple of Luxor dedicated to the god Amun Ra, then back to your hotel.

Tour Voucher:

Cancellation Policy:
Nile Plaza doesn’t charge a cancellation for tours and excursions cancelled for force majeure or reasons beyond control. You can cancel up to 24 hours in advance for a full refund minus any administrative fees.
